The picture-perfect view, celebrated by Dev & Kaushik. Bedroom with a stunning view
Picture view
Designed by Nikhil Dev & Kaushik Abhinav of Dev & Kaushik, this stunning home-based in Hyderabad has converted two 4bhk apartments into one 6bhk palatial home. The transformation is amazing, but we are drawn to the bedrooms of this home. The dynamic duo has celebrated the view in all the bedroom, ensuring a profusion of natural light pouring in. This particular bedroom has our hearts, for its turmeric soft furnishings, and the silver-tone of the curtains, combine earthy and cool tones, to frame the view in an amazing and inspiring way. Floral prints in the bedroom make for a soothing vibe. floral wallpaper in the bedroom
Floral allure
Designer Diksha Jiandani of Dia Atelier takes us on a tour of her family home. And might we say, we love the drama she has infused into the bedroom spaces. If you can’t have a garden in the bedroom, why not bring home the flowers! Diksha uses wallpaper with large scale flower prints to introduce an element of whimsy and wonderland-fantasy. We love the way she has paired pink with floral notes of the wallpaper.
A stunning and highly detailed, expansive bedroom. large scale bedroom
Purist and rooted
Located on 47,700sqft estate of land, this Ahmedabad home is for a family of four. While we love the expanse of this home, the bedrooms have our complete heart. Dilip Patel who founded Aakruti Architects in 1980, is now joined by Toyam Patel and Tulna Patel, Partners and Principal Interior Architects of the firm. Together, this trinity has spearheaded the design of this home that is rooted and dedicated to the stunning landscape of this home. We love how the bedrooms open to the gardens, and the functional design has been so artistically curated. For us, the expanse is maintained with great integrity and the lovely flooring, juxtaposed with the wood, is exciting and exacting. The sultry bedroom by Karan Desai. moody bedroom design
Charcoal beauty
This next one is modern in its narrative but soothing in its flourishes. Karan Desai of the eponymous design atelier shows us how a moody colour can create a cocoon-like vibe. This grey-blue, permutation of colour, could have a very cold, impersonal effect, but the expert way with which Karan has introduced a four-poster bed, almost creates a shell. We love the angles and the geometry of this bedroom.

Rooted and contextual, that's what this bedroom is! terracotta bedroom
Contemporary Terracotta
Parag Supe, Principal Designer, Kreon Projects, crafts a living that is vibrant in its flourishes and soothing in the basic layout of the home. Want stands out, is the contextual narrative of the interiors of this home, particularly, the master bedroom. The designer plays with an expansive surface finish of terracotta tiles, in a geometric pattern, and the overall effect it has on this space is amazing! The mirror and terracotta lend this bedroom a robust, earthy and rooted look…but you can still get a modern vibe from here.

Cloudy dreams
Step inside the home of Saba Kapoor, Head Designer, Nivassa and you will never want to leave. Saba has created picture-perfect spaces and corners, and the bedrooms of her home are delicate, highly-detailed, and the very definition of understated luxury! The designer goes big with comfort elements….from photo walls to plush bed cushions, we love the attention to decadence, and the effect it has on one's sense. This home is by far one of our favourites, and we must insist you check it out. Rooted in rich Indian motifs, this bedroom is goals! India-inspired bedroom
Restrained ethnic
We never knew there was such a thing, till we chanced upon this amazing design by Neha and Sachin Gupta of Beyond Designs. The bedroom is fitted with elaborated Indian-inspired pieces, but the overall tonality is simple and fuss-free. And that there lies the genius of this space…where ethnic touches infuse that indie edge, while a restrained scheme pares the elegant tonality of the home. Don’t you just love this effortless chic, Indian vibes? A minimalist approach to the art of wellness! the minimalist bedroom
Minimal Wood
Avant-garde and exciting, this home by Rohit Suraj of Urban Zen proves to us that minimal and wood can go hand in hand. The designer has masterfully integrated the two to create a home that is functional and aesthetic. For us, the floating wooden bed is something out of the ordinary. Rohit plays with patterns in wood, to infuse warmth and depth to the overall scheme of the design. Traditional and rooted, this bedroom is goals! brick bedroom
The brick bedroom
Completed this year, architect Srijit Srinivas of the eponymous architectural firm creates a dramatic home for a family of four. The way brick becomes the core material for the build of this home, is a celebration of this humble and easily-found building tool. Srijit goes a step further, by crafting an all-brick bedroom space. We can imagine the multiple benefits this would have…especially the cool temperature it would maintain in this home, located in Kerala. The architecture of this bedroom space is interesting for the way the balcony space has been integrated into the structure.
