Latex is a good thing. It can achieve different degrees of support. You should adjust its product density. Therefore, there are some statements about latex products. People think they are too soft or too hard. They are one-sided or not objective. The density of pillows is generally designed to be 45D. The hardness brought by this density is just right. It meets the needs of most people. When designing mattresses, the density is usually 70D-85D. Generally speaking, the hardness of 70D latex mattress with high content is moderate. More than 70D will be relatively hard. The density of 85D is already at its peak for some people. If the density increases, it will be hard. Therefore, many people on the Internet advertise that their density is 95D or even 98D. As if the higher the density, the more powerful things will be.
When I say this, the premise is that your latex is high-content pure glue. If it is a low content of common glue, even at a density of 90D, it will be soft to lie on it. The low content of latex is mixed with synthetic glue. Such mattresses have much less elasticity and support.
Speaking of which, we need to specifically mention synthetic glue. Many people on the Internet say that synthetic glue can cause cancer. This statement is too absolute. Good synthetic glue does not cause cancer. Formaldehyde can cause cancer. If formaldehyde is contained in poor synthetic glue, it will cause cancer. But this does not mean that the synthetic glue is good. We should tell the truth objectively. You should know what causes cancer. A large part of the reason is formaldehyde.
The price of latex products is determined by density and purity. This is basically known to all. In the industry, more than 90% content is generally defined as pure rubber. Below this content is called common glue. 93% to 95% is the limit content of pure glue. Latex is cut from rubber trees. It is a liquid in itself. You must add foaming agent to solidify into a solid. Manufacturers publicize the content of 98% or 100% of their products. The credibility is low.
Regarding production technology, there are two kinds in the industry, TALALAY and Dunlop. There are two types of manufacturing processes in the industry. TALALAY and Dunlop. Dunlop Crafts has a market share of over 95 percent. The number of TALALAY process manufacturers worldwide is in the single digits. The reason is that the production capacity of this process is too low. The cost of equipment and maintenance is particularly high.
Some people advocate that TALALAY is a physical foam and Dunlop is a chemical foam. Their subtext is that the things made by TALALAY process are natural and environmentally friendly. The things made by Dunlop process are just like being covered with viruses. This is a pure reversal of black and white. TALALAY foaming require a vacuum environment. It just like baking bread. If you think about it, if you bake bread in a vacuum environment, of course you will have high requirements for the baking machine. The cost will be high. However, it does not mean that bread baked in an ordinary baker cannot be eaten. In fact, in the process of collecting latex, ammonia and sulfur are added. Latex is easy to solidify and in order to keep fresh. No matter which country produces and what process equipment is used, there is no shortage of these chemicals. Therefore, we can't compare physical foaming and chemical foaming.
