The Newt, Somerset
With its singular interiors and extensive gardens and orchards, Somerset's The Newt reflects the vision of its owners, the South African founders of Cape Dutch hotel and farm Babylonstoren. This magnificent suite at the Fife Arms in Braemar is bursting with colour and pattern, as well as a huge freestanding rolltop bath. This delightful bathroom at the Beaverbrook hotel in Surrey overlooks the expansive grounds of the property. We love the arrangement of botanical plates above the mantlepiece. Il Palazzo Experimental, Venice
At the Experimental Group’s newest hotel, Il Palazzo Experimental, the Parisian team behind the group have saved the former headquarters of the old Venetian shipping company Adriatica by transforming it into a thriving 32-room hotel, restaurant and cocktail bar, with the help of interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon.
